chuck adapter (backing plate)

need to modify backing plate for an adjustable chuck but do not know what kind of a fit to machine hub

If you are mounting a four jaw you could machine the hub .002-03 smaller then the bore in the chuck. If your chuck is a three jaw I would try to keep it .001-.002
