Measuring

I deal with metric , I have trouble saying standard for instance how is this said .1237 ? how is this said .01237 ? this .001237 ? if someone could explain this I Thank You Mark

Metric measuring

I also deal with metric measurements. We use the term microns. For example, 0.0065 would be six and one half microns, 0.100 would be 100 microns, 0.030 would be 30 microns.

Sorry I miss understood your question.
.1234 would be said "one hundred twenty three thousandths and four tenths"
.012 "twelve thousandths"
.001 "one thousandth"
And "thou" is the correct slang.
.1024 "one hundred two thou and four tenths"

What i was trying to say is I know metric, But when I deal with standard measurement like thousandths , ten thousandths I have trouble saying that, for instance is this a hundred thou .100? how is this said in standard .1234 or .012 or .001 ., I really appreciate your help on this , thanks mark

Hi mark,
.123 is said "point one two three millimeters"
The slang would be
"point one two three mill"
1.05 would be said "one point zero five mill
